Our leadership team positions carry a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be a Christian. This is because a Christian faith is central to the fulfilment of our objectives and to maintaining the Christian ethos of Mission Care’s nursing and residential care homes.
Geoff Dean, Chairman
Geoff has served as a trustee of Mission Care for more than 16 years, and has been Chairman since 2006. Geoff worked for nearly 30 years in the banking sector and is currently the Treasury Manager for a major overseas airline UK subsidiary. Geoff is also a deacon of Coldharbour Evangelical Free Church, Eltham.
Paul was born in Cambridgeshire and studied maths at university in Newcastle, where he became a Christian in his second year. Sensing a call to the ministry, Paul first taught for a number of years at a Christian school in Gateshead before moving to Shrewsbury Evangelical Church, where he became minister in 2007. In September 2014 Paul was inducted as Minister at Grove Chapel and became a Trustee at Mission Care in 2018. Paul is married to Ruth and they have three lively children who keep them on their toes. When he can spare the time, Paul is keen on cricket, golf, astronomy, history, travel and international cuisine.
Mark is Head of Employment at Edward Connor solicitors. Mark’s involvement with Mission Care started in 2009 and he became a Trustee in 2014. He is also a director of the BeaconLight charity and was Chair of Trustees of the Lawyers Christian Fellowship until 2020. Mark is married to Catherine and they worship at ChristChurch Banstead where he is involved in a number of ministries.
