Homefield residents have been enjoying regular baking sessions recently which have resulted in tasty cakes and also a fantastic opportunity for reminiscence.
The most recent session saw residents bake and decorate cupcakes before sampling their creations. Resident Maud was joined by her daughter for the afternoon who told us how her mother used to bake cakes for the whole street and loved getting everyone together for a party.
“It was fantastic to hear everyone sharing stories about what they used to bake”, commented Angela Watts, Activities Coordinator, “it’s just one of the reasons our baking sessions are so popular!”
