On Saturday 9th July, Elmwoood organised its annual summer party for residents, relatives, loved ones and staff.
In honour of England playing in the World Cup quarter final, the home was decorated with England flags and other party decorations. Traditional BBQ food such as burgers, hot dogs and chicken was cooked and served by our lovely volunteers, swiftly followed by tasty sweet treats including cakes, jelly and ice cream.
Guest entertainer Joe Philips treated guests to some live music, inviting everyone to dance and sing along. We fininshed the afternoon with a popular raffle which, in total, raised £233 towards activities for our residents.
“The food was wonderful, well cooked and delicious and morover the day was great”, commented one Elmwood resident. This was echoed by one of our relatives who was also grateful not to have missed the football!
Thank you to everyone for making the annual Summer Elmwood party another memorable afternoon!
