The income Mission Care receives from care fees and other non-voluntary sources helps maintain a quality level of care for our residents. However, the generosity of additional, voluntary, financial support makes a big difference, enabling us to offer better services and activities which further enrich our residents’ lives.

As well as specific projects such as our sensory garden at Elmwood, some of the ways we use the donations we receive include purchasing additional reminiscence equipment, arranging day trips out of the home and introducing additional expert tutors to activity sessions which all bring a sense of purpose to our residents’ daily routines.

Below are a few ways you can donate to Mission Care.

Mission Care is always grateful for the community-based fundraising initiatives our supporters undertake for us as this additional income enables us to expand the activities and opportunities that we are able to offer our residents. A fundraising event can be anything from a bake sale to a sponsored 350km bike ride – we are always open to hearing your suggestions and will make sure we support you all the way, whatever you choose to take on.

Pledging to support our work on a regular basis enables us to sustain our work and better plan for our future. Regular giving to Mission Care is entirely flexible and you can choose how much and how often you want to donate. The best way to support Mission Care on a regular basis is by Direct Debit. To get started, simply download and complete our Direct Debit instruction form and return to us at our Support Centre. Alternatively, get in touch with our finance team who will be able to help you through the process.

If you would like to support the work of Mission Care with a one-off donation, you can do so easily and securely in a number of ways:

Visit our JustGiving pages and follow the simple instructions. This website will also calculate Gift Aid automatically so, if you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim 25% on top of your donation. See the Gift Aid section for more details.

In person

Donation boxes can be found in the foyer of all of our homes, Mission Cafe and at the till points in our charity shops. Our staff teams will be happy to receive and receipt any contribution you make in cash, including small change. However you choose to support Mission Care, completing a Gift Aid declaration form enables Mission Care to claim back the tax on every donation you make, increasing the value of your donation by 25% at no additional cost to you. Download a gift aid form here. Donations are usually allocated to our general fund which means we can support our residents in the best way possible at that time. However, we are always happy to allocate donations to a particular home, project or initiative at your request.

We recognise that people may want to donate to Mission Care in other ways as well as financially. We are always grateful for donations in kind, whether that is a contribution to one of our raffles or arts and crafts materials for an activities session. If you would like to make a donation in kind, please contact the Home Manager of the relevant home who will be able to confirm whether we can accept your donation in line with our health and safety policies. If your items are suitable for general use, you can drop them into our Support Centre.
