Our Home

When Greenhill first opened its doors in 1949, it offered a safe, caring, and loving sanctuary for residents, many of whom had been affected by the Second World War. Having lost so much, they found themselves living alone. Greenhill became a place where, thanks to our devoted staff, hope and happiness were woven into everyday life. Today, our mission remains unchanged.
Services available

TYPES OF CARE

We provide a comprehensive range of care services across our five homes, tailored to meet the varying needs of older adults. Four of our homes offer full nursing care for individuals who are elderly, frail, or living with dementia, delivered by skilled nursing teams in a safe and supportive environment. Our fifth home specialises in residential care for those living with dementia and physical disabilities, focusing on personalised support that promotes comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Life at Greenhill

Greenhill is a home where fun, laughter, and connection take center stage. Our compassionate staff work tirelessly to bring joy to our residents' lives through various activities – from bingo and pub quizzes to flower arranging and group sing-alongs. These daily engagements make a significant, positive impact on our residents' well-being.

"Having activities available seven days a week isn't mandatory, but we want our residents to always have the option to participate in something and engage with others – to bring a smile to their faces and uplift their spirits." - Renold Manuel, Clinical Director.

Dee Gumbo - Manager

I have been part of Mission Care since 2011 when I joined as a Senior nurse, then became a Home Manager in August 2012, I have been a nurse both in Zimbabwe and the UK for 25 years. Mission Care feels like home. I love the Christian Ethos and values that we hold and practice as a team. I work with a strong, dedicated and caring team that delivers consistent care with love and compassion all-round the hierarchy, top to bottom.

We care for the most wonderful people with complex care needs. Making a positive impact in residents’ lives gives me a fulfilment and purpose to serve others. The culture of the organisation reflects oneness of purpose to make a difference in our community. For me there is no place like Mission care… It is just the best.
