Respite Care

Short term care for people who may need help convalescing, or simply as a break for their caring partner, or family member. While we will always do our best to help people, we don’t offer a full time respite service as we cannot guarantee capacity.

We would always encourage you to check with our support team first who will be only too happy to advise and help.

Hear from our manager

Gitta Tshibala - Manager

I joined Mission Care in April 2018. Having been working for the NHS for about 11 plus years and developed from a band 5 novice nurse into different senior positions.

To my surprise, I came to find out that Mission Care existed way before the National Health Service was founded! This trigged my curiosity and draw my attention to Mission Care’s sustainability despite different waves of changes in the society.

I started from being a night nurse to a day nurse at Homefield. I was promoted later to a senior nurse, still at Homefield to a deputy manager.
From February 2023, I was offered to act as the Willett House Manager. I saw this as not only an opportunity for my career development, but more of an honour from the senior management who put their trust in me.

The dedication, the gratitude, and the attitude to serve; the compassion to passion, the ambition to develop and develop others, the fulfilment of the outcomes of making a difference into someone’s life is the drive of walking into the women pioneers who have and are carrying on serving the vulnerable, the poorer, the unfortunate, the elderly, the needing within the entire Mission Care.
